Three, two, one - time to get the hell out of here. I've had my suitcases packed for a long time. A festival of failures. There is an ongoing war, a climate disaster, some sort of pandemic is reportedly rolling through the world. Black Mirror. The worst thing is that all the bees have already died. 'Pick your favorite divisions' says a sad lady on TV. And she's not even a journalist. She's an AI! Hands conjoined with the phone. This distortion occurs. Family and friends habitually thinking in extremes. Polarized thinking. Black or white. Being an astronaut teaches you the vibrant shades of gray. The big, ugly dragon came to eat the remains of normality. Tomatoes are more expensive than plastic. Ruins, concrete, scorched earth. I'm going to the base in the east, on the right side of the Vistula. The one on the west side of the city has fallen. All the bridges are already blazed.

I get into the machine, start the engines. A therapeutic growl. The very sound is a gateway to a fantasy world. A symphony of screws, tapes, sheet metal and oil. I have been preparing for this moment for a long time. I left myself this little red radio bought at the market. I console myself in thinking that the speakers in it don't lie because they don't have to wear makeup. And the news is always so on point, brief, simply for the people. And I like the music - Dj A-mok, the favorite, playing. It's also a bit off but it's listenable. A final high five for the Earth. Arrivederci!
